COVID-19

At Gooding Dental Health, the safety of our patients and staff are our priorities.  Given today's current environment in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced a number of new protocols and systems to ensure our practice remains a clean and healthy workspace.

We will continue to practice meticulous infection control procedures, as we always have, but you may notice a few changes to our office spaces and operatories.  We have installed plexiglass barriers at our front desk and financial coordinator's window to protect the health of our staff as they check out and schedule our patients.   You may also notice fewer items on counters in our operatories and our staff wearing more personal protection equipment than previously.  We have taken every opportunity to practice safe and sterile dentistry and this includes ensuring our staff are well protected throughout the work day.

Masks We are dedicated to making sure our office is a safe environment for everyone entering and leaving the building. Masks are not required in our office, but will be provided upon request. If you are experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms, please call the office prior to your appointment.

Additionally, we have added two new systems to our office for added protection against any pathogenic material.  First, we will be installing surgical air purifiers to each operatory.

Surgically Clean Air's purifiers use multi-stage air purifying technologies that work together to clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air.  The six stage filtration system captures dust particles, pollen, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), gases, mold, allergens, viruses

, odors (like formaldehyde and smoke), bio-aerosols, and many other pollutants that are found in the inside air in workplaces.  The negative ion generator makes the indoors feel more pure, clean and energized to help combat fatigue.  Click on the video below to see how it will keep our workspace a safe and clean environment.

Second, we are adopting the use of a VectorFog C100+ ULV Electric Cold Fogger as part of our routine sterilization protocol.  UVL FoggerThis fogger will be used to spray an aerosolized disinfectant solution into our operatories after each procedure.  It has a powerful flow rate between 30-60 LPH and can easily cover an area of 100 m2 in less than a minute.  The droplets can be sized between 5-50 microns and it has a spray distance of up to 8 meters at an angle of up to 80°.  The use of this fogger with our new air purifiers will ensure a clean and safe environment for all your dental needs.

As our current environment is constantly subject to change, we will be frequently updating this page with any new information.  We will continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and the Rhode Island Dental Association regarding how to provide the safest dental care to our patients.  We understand this is an unprecedented time for everyone and we appreciate your support and understanding of the changes we are making.
