We are dedicated to making sure our office is a
safe environment for everyone entering and leaving the
building. We will be asking all our patients to fill out a
COVID-19 prescreening form before all their appointments. We
will also be taking temperatures before any procedure and will
practice our right to cancel any appointment we feel will breech
our infection control protocols. We ask that when you arrive
for your scheduled visit, you wait in your car and call the
office to let us know of your arrival. When we are ready to
seat you, a member of our staff will call to inform you that you
may enter the building. This will help us continue to
practice the CDC's social distancing recommendations. In
addition, we ask that you wear a mask in the building when
you are not seated in an operatory.Lastly, we have added two new
systems to our office for added protection against any pathogenic
material. First, we will be installingsurgical air purifiers to each operatory.
Surgically Clean Air's purifiers use multi-stage air
purifying technologies that work together to clean, purify and
re-energize the indoor air. The six stage filtration system
captures dust particles, pollen, volatile organic chemicals
(VOCs), gases, mold, allergens, viruses, odors (like
formaldehyde and smoke), bio-aerosols, and many other pollutants
that are found in the inside air in workplaces. The negative
ion generator makes the indoors feel more pure, clean and energized
to help combat fatigue. Click on the video below to see how
it will keep our workspace a safe and clean
environment.
Second, we are adopting the use of a VectorFog C100+ ULV
Electric Cold Fogger as part of our routine sterilization
protocol. This fogger
will be used to spray an aerosolized disinfectant solution into our
operatories after each procedure. It has a powerful flow rate
between 30-60 LPH and can easily cover an area of 100 m2 in less
than a minute. The droplets can be sized between 5-50 microns
and it has a spray distance of up to 8 metres at an angle of up to
80°. The use of this fogger with our new air purifiers will
ensure a clean and safe environment for all your dental needs.
As our current environment is constantly subject to change, we will be frequently updating this page with any new information. We will continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and the Rhode Island Dental Association regarding how to provide the safest dental care to our patients. We understand this is an unprecedented time for everyone and we appreciate your support and understanding of the changes we are making.
